Our head office in Abbotsford, BC requires a Corporate Accountant, to assist us in our next stage of growth.  This role, reporting to the Finance Manager will have a diverse set of responsibilities, from junior bookkeeping and administrative tasks, up to more complex finance and accounting tasks.  The ideal candidate will be growing their career and willing to pitch in at all levels and to grow with us.

•Full cycle Accounts Payable:  data entry of invoices, all cheque runs, filing, and reconciliation of vendor statements.
•Monthly processing and payment of Employee Expense Reports (including some foreign exchange), and Credit Card statements.
•Recording bank entries and reconciling bank accounts monthly, including all online banking.
•Preparing and posting of sales progress claims.
•Performing month ends including preparation of monthly financial schedules, monthly general ledger journal entries, and preparing and payment of monthly sales and corporate taxes.
•Maintaining the Fixed Asset database in MS Access.
•Assisting with the preparation of weekly cash flow analysis and forecasts, including monitoring of bank covenant reporting.
•Assisting with the preparation of quarterly P&L forecasts and the annual budget.
•Assisting with the preparation of year end financials, including corporate tax schedules, and internal/external audits.
•Assisting the Office/HR Manager with payroll related matters as required.
•Special projects including:  finance representative on the team to implement new ERP System (Epicor), and researching and recommending paperless solutions.
•Backup to the Finance Manager.
•General administrative tasks.
•Other projects as assigned.


•CPA (or equivalent) with at least 3 years post graduate experience.
•Proficient in the use of MS Excel, MS Access, and ERP systems.
•Experience with QuickBooks an asset.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to multi-task and work within tight deadlines.
•Project related experience an asset.
