We are seeking to engage a well organised dynamic Project Manager to join their small in-house team of Project Managers. The role; based on the Cambridge Airport site, which is comprised of a variety of building types such as aircraft hangars, office buildings and commercial/industrial facilities supporting manufacturing works. The team manage a variety of projects ranging in value from £20K to £20M and ultimately are focused on delivering suitable and compliant work environments for the business. This is a unique working environment as projects can range from traditional building refurbishment to environmental or logistical driven projects, providing opportunity to develop broader and more unique project management experience. On a daily basis the role can include preparing specifications and schedules of work, to the appointment of contractors and final handover to the business operations team. You'll ensure all activities are managed to schedule, budget and to the highest standards expected in the Marshall world. Every day, like every project, will be different. As a vital interface, working closely with colleagues and contractors, you'll ensure your projects consider the needs of a diverse range of internal stakeholders. These are busy working buildings; so exceptional communication and planning will therefore be critical so that our calendar of delivery programmes and operations can continue. Although our processes and ways of working are well established, there is always room for improvement and we will welcome an individual to drive change and lead the way in current project management thinking. About you; ideally you will have a Chartered Building Surveying background, you will have excellent logistical and problem solving skills but most importantly be able to learn and adapt quickly in a fast paced business. Expertise in managing the end-to-end project lifecycle, including procurement, financial governance and contract management, you'll have the skills to deliver a varied range of property challenges. Experience using the NEC3 suite of contracts is essential while experience working client side is not a prerequisite but would be advantageous. Organised, pro-active and with lots of initiative and drive, you'll know how to juggle a varied portfolio, manage stakeholders and adapt to tight deadlines and changing circumstances. With good analytical skills, pragmatism and pro activity, you're used to anticipating issues and coming up with innovative solutions. Digitally fluent, organised and with an eye for detail, your record keeping and administration are well honed. A natural communicator and collaborator used to working with colleagues, contractors and in-house teams, you'll quickly build credibility at all levels.
